TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER

Mike joined the Technology Transfer Office in March 2008 from First Principals, Inc., a Cleveland-based technology transfer firm. His responsibilities as Vice President, Technology Assessment included commercial feasibility and valuation of a wide-range of early-stage, technology opportunities. Mike also developed programs to effectively market and commercialize technologies in both physical and life sciences areas. As the former Manager of Eveready Battery Company’s Technical Information Center, Mike directed and performed a wide range of market-related research, proprietary database searching, and competitive analyses in various technical, product, and patent assignments. At Competitive Technologies, Inc., he was Director of Information Resources.

Mike earned his B.S. in Chemistry and a M.S. in Information Sciences from the University of Buffalo. Mr. Allan is a member of the Patent Information Users' Group and serves in various leadership roles with the Association of University Technology Managers (AUTM).
